Οι γονείς του λοχία Κούκλατζη στο SPIEGEL:”Προσευχόμαστε για ένα θαύμα”

Συνέντευξη στο γνωστό γερμανικό περιοδικό SPIEGEL έδωσαν οι γονείς του ΕΠΟΠ λοχία Δημήτρη Κούκλατζη και συγκεκριμένα στους Έλληνες συνεργάτες του που βρέθηκαν στην Ορεστιάδα, τους Γιώργο Χρηστίδη και Μαξιμίλιαν Παπ (Max Popp), όπου είπαν πολλά για την υπόθεση της σύλληψης του γιου τους και την παραμονή του στις φυλακές Αδριανούπολης.

Το πρωί της 2ας Μαρτίου, στις 11 το πρωί, χτυπήσαμε το κουδούνι Κούκλατζης και μας άνοιξε την πόρτα η σύζυγος Σοφία. Ένας ταξίαρχος και δύο αξιωματικοί του ελληνικού στρατού ενημέρωσαν το ζευγάρι ότι ο γιος τους ο Δημήτρης, ένας Έλληνας στρατιώτης και ένας συνάδερφος του συνελήφθησαν από την τουρκική αστυνομία, ενώ ήταν σε περιπολία και πέρασαν κατά λάθος τα σύνορα προς την Τουρκία.

Οι άνδρες διαβεβαίωσαν τους συζύγους ότι δεν υπήρχε λόγος ανησυχίας. Δεν είναι ασυνήθιστο να χάνονται στρατιώτες στη γειτονική χώρα – ειδικά το χειμώνα, όταν πέφτει το χιόνι και η ορατότητα είναι κακή. Η Τουρκία και η Ελλάδα έχουν μέχρι στιγμής πάντα διέπονται τέτοια γεγονότα ήρεμα. «Σε λίγες μέρες ο γιος σας θα επιστρέψει», είπαν.

Εν τω μεταξύ, η αρχική ανακούφιση της οικογένειας Κούκλατζη έδωσε τη θέση του στον πανικό και την απελπισία. Φαίνεται ότι η τουρκική κυβέρνηση δεν θέλησε να λύσει την περίπτωση του γιου τους σιωπηλά.

<b>“Στα μάτια μας είναι ήρωας”</b>

Μιάμιση εβδομάδα έχει περάσει από τότε που ο Δημήτρης Κούκλατζης λοχίας, 29 ετών, και ο συνάδερφος του εξακολουθούν να βρίσκονται στη φυλακή στην τουρκική πόλη της Αδριανούπολη . Οι αρχές κατηγορούν τους στρατιώτες για την παράνομη διέλευση των συνόρων. Ένα δικαστήριο μόλις επέκτεινε την κράτηση.

Η υπόθεση κρατά την Ελλάδα σε κατάσταση αναστάτωσης. Τα μέσα επικοινωνίας στέλνουν εικόνες που δείχνουν τους στρατιώτες με χειροπέδες. τηλεοπτικά συνεργεία είχαν βρεθεί εν τω μεταξύ στο σπίτι της οικογένειας Κούκλατζη στην ελληνική συνοριακή πόλη της Ορεστιάδας. Στο σπίτι της οικογένειας, το τηλέφωνο δεν είναι πλέον σιωπηλό. Πολιτικοί καλούν, ιερείς, φίλοι, συγγενείς, δημοσιογράφοι. “Είμαστε απλοί άνθρωποι που ζούσαν μια ήσυχη ζωή σε μια μικρή πόλη”, λέει η Σοφία Κούκλατζη. “Τώρα έχουμε μπει σε αυτή τη θύελλα.”

Ο Δημήτρης Κούκλατζης έζησε μαζί με τους γονείς του. Στο δωμάτιό του, κρέμονται στο ντουλάπι στρατιωτικές στολές, εικόνες αγίων πάνω από το κρεβάτι. Ο Δημήτρης είναι ένα χαρούμενο, φιλικό αγόρι, λέει η μητέρα του. Ξόδεψε πολύ χρόνο με φίλους, είχε πάθος για τον ποδοσφαιρικό σύλλογο ΑΕΚ Αθήνας. Πάνω απ ‘όλα, αγαπούσε τη δουλειά του ως στρατιώτης. Ο Κούκλατζης έχει μπει στο στρατό σε ηλικία 18 ετών. Ποτέ δεν έχει διαμαρτυρηθεί για την δουλειά ή το χρόνο υπηρεσίας », λέει η Σοφία Κούκλατζη, « στα μάτια μας είναι ήρωας. Προσευχόμαστε για ένα θαύμα. ”

Η σύλληψη του Κούκλατζη και του συναδέρφου του πυροδότησε μια σοβαρή κρίση στην τουρκοελληνική σχέση. Έλληνες πολιτικοί φοβούνται ότι η Τουρκία θα μπορούσε να κρατήσει την ομηρία δυο στρατιωτών όπως και στυην περίπτωση του γερμανοτούρκου δημοσιογράφου Deniz Γιουτζέλ και να αναγκάσει στην έκδοση των στρατιωτικών που ήρθαν στην Ελλάδα μετά το υποτιθέμενο τουρκικό πραξικόπημα.

Η Σοφία Κούκλατζη είδε για τελευταία φορά τον γιο της στις 4 Μαρτίου – στην πτέρυγα υψηλής ασφάλειας στην Αδριανούπολη. Έβαλε το χέρι της στο γυαλί μεταξύ τους. Ο Δημήτρης Κούκλατζης χαμογέλασε και είπε: “Μην ανησυχείτε, όλα θα πάνε καλά.”
